Because Funimation basically brought "exclusive wars" to anime streaming. They used to have a partnership with Crunchyroll, but then they started their own streaming platform and pulled everything they had the rights to, from other platforms (some shows were mid season). They got a lot of hate because of how they handled it.

Yeah, outside of some of the CGI everything is pretty good.

Honestly, the story is good enough to make up for any animation failings, imo.

I don't think the animation is all that bad but some of the dialogue scenes drag. The action isn't bad but there really hasn't been much the past few eps.

That being said, I think the story is pretty bad rn.

tbf, they were given a reasonable amount of time to work on Jujutsu. Mappa was only given like 7 or so months to pump out season 4 of AoT. Which is scummy, but I think it looks good considering that.

I would like them to replace the CGI Titans with hand drawn ones for the blu-ray release, but I don't think it's likely.

Oof. The animation was pretty good with all the action in E1, but there was definitely some choppy-as-fuck animation in E2.

I am not at all impressed with Funimation's streaming service. There have been multiple times it's jumped forward like thirty seconds on its own. Can't even rewind it, it's like the thirty seconds was just cut out. Luckily, it fixes itself if you close the episode and reopen it.

And now I've gotten to the sixth episode and it says it's not available in my territory despite the episode after this one working and this same episode working on my phone. So now I'm booting up the PS4 to see if it'll work there.

Glad I got a free trial.

Funimation's app is objectively trash. I hate using it.

If it didn't have dubs of some shows I like to watch in English, I would never use it.

I noticed something similar while watching Black Clover on my TV. There's been about 2 episodes where randomly the subtitles would be off by like 5 or so seconds. I finally realized what was happening during another episode when i realized the episode skipped 5 seconds since it happened mid conversation. I guess the other times, it happened during a less noticeable spot. I observed the subtitles being off again. Restarting didn't fix it, but I noticed the issue wasn't there when watching on my phone.
