There was a topic here previously but it closed, but been doing this for the better part of 2 weeks and lost 5 lbs already!

Been doing 16 hours off and 8 hour eating period. The last couple hours before my first meal of the day is the toughest but not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I can definitely see this being a way of life and not just a diet I'm going to give up on after a couple months.

I'd do that if I didn't have the issue of leading me to be underweight because I can't eat a lot of calories in 1 sitting, it's just so much more practical to only have to eat 2 big meals and a snack

it really does. i've lost about 80 pounds in the last 2.5 years mainly with intermittent fasting, and healthy meal planning/prepping. i'm not even very strict with it. i do have coffee with creamer first thing in the morning every morning still, and if i get too hungry before my first meal i just take a couple swigs of nonfat milk to stave it off.
milk actually help? i've never thought to try that.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has been teaching us that 1 meal a day is how you eat to live a really long life since the 1950s now. Glad people are now catching on

More than anything else IF promotes good habits, hunger control, and being conscientious about what you eat because your calorie window is limited. That is what's really good about it imo.

It's helped me in shedding the final 15 lbs I'm trying to lose. I wish I could do it more often, but my job is too physical to go without eating.

Is IF literally just, eat as much as you want in a given window and then no food at all outside of it?

You shouldn't pig out, but it helps in terms of being able to eat whatever you want really. Coming from an italian family and my wife's brazilian so we enjoy good foods and I don't have to restrict myself as long as I don't overindulge.

For instance today I didn't start eating until 12 after stopping at like 6:45pm last night. So my fast actually last over 17 hours, but today I knew I was going to eat a little more since it's her birthday and my family is ordering trays of food, plus a cake. But I still will limit myself and not overdo it.
