An old brit friend, back when we were not old friends, once saw I was down and asked me about the weather, which is apparently a brit way about asking how you feel. I said my dick is the weather, and he was so confounded as to become a perfect statue, silent and still. Cheered me up.

So a conversation could go:

"I tuck er ome and shagged her proper mate"
"Wahey, goo on the lad! Fancy a pint at the Crown?"
"Are goo on then, I'll pop aert fer a couple"

I'm a brit, I wouldn't say it's like, so common everyone does it. But yes, it's often used in some kind of "yay, we did it" context.

Interesting! I assume then it's kind of like "Woohoo!" then. People don't REALLY say it in day-to-day conversation, but maybe to be silly.
