I'd say it's good but not great.

Biggest downside is it has a lot of filler that can be a bit hard to filter out.

It's not Origins but I liked it.

Just don't try to do everything in the first area before leaving, that's how you burn out.

It's a solid game. I enjoyed it when I played through it, but it was a while ago now.

After loving origins and its dlc and actually really enjoying dragon age 2, I hated Inquisiton. Feels like an mmo.

it reviewed highly and I know people who liked it, but I really disliked it. Managed to beat it once since at that point Id already invested myself in the series, but wont ever replay it.

I'm on my first run of it after doing like 5 Origins runs and playing DA2 once (which I actually ended up really enjoying), and I kinda hate Inquisition so far. They somehow managed to make the combat worse than the previous 2 games, and the open world parts of it are pretty, but empty and full of boring fetch quests.

Like, the only good thing about it so far for me is the story >_______>. The main quests are actually decent.

The Fade is the worst part of Origins, but I still liked it more than Inquisition

The only thing I actively dislike about Inquisition's combat is that there's no healing magic or health regeneration.

It's good as long as you don't try to do everything.

The game is stuffed with tons of useless fetch quests that are flat out boring. If you start getting into "I have to do everything!" mode, you'll burn out really quickly.

I enjoyed it otherwise, though.

I hate how they completely removed tactics so all my companions are complete garbage and I have to micro manage everything. I beat the other 2 games on Nightmare only having to take over occasionally, but here I have to tell them how to do basically everything. Ranged characters are especially stupid since they don't even run away when an enemy gets right up in there face with a melee weapon >_____>

Beyond that, the stupid terrors with their stunlock teleport bullshit is, well, bullshit, the arbitrary limit of 8 potions with no way to replenish them outside of finding a supply box in dungeons or going back to camp is extra annoying. It just forces you to keep going back and waste time. I also hate how when you draw your weapon you move slow as fuck for no reason.

I could go on, but yeah. I really don't like the game's combat. DA2 is probably still my favorite in that regard, minus the 10 billion enemies and respawns out of thin air nonsense. Origins was fun too, but mages completely broke the game in half.

I really enjoyed it. There are a lot of fetch quests, but I didn't mind at the time. The story is excellent, especially with the DLC.

I loved it.

Great story (minus issues with the big bad at times), wonderful characters, fantastic dlc and lore expansion.

Just be wary of side content/mmo fetch quests. Can largely ignore them and I recommend doing so really.

Clich chosen-one with special abilities story, uninteresting elven lore, mostly unlikable companions, repetitive hack & slash gameplay with minimal tactics involved, useless tactical view, filler quests,...

Saying that, you'll get your money's worth because of the sheer amount of content (even with all the filler), but I personally think it's a huge downgrade from Origins, and to a lesser extent from DA2.

Agree with all this. I loved Origins, I enjoyed parts of DA2, but Inquisition is just a slog compared to either of them.
