Had a few people saying it was hard to hear me in some. In some others I think I fixed the volume problem but not sure. Not saying you all should watch the whole video just like the first 5 minutes of my first let's play video and the fourth one. Is the volume of my voice and sound okay? I am currently jsut using my my playstation gold headset for a mic, so if I need a better one what would be a good one to get? Hopefully one under $100.

If you want quality, you have to pay for quality. I use a Blue Yeti USB microphone, which runs about $130.

Yeah that price isn't too bad. Do you turn down the game volume as well?

Not usually. I just record the game and my voice at max volume and let people on YouTube adjust it to their level of comfort using the slider.

Not a problem, just passing along the advice I received when I first started.

The volume of your voice is fine, but the sound of your headset or microphone is not up to par

I've been streaming on Twitch recently and over the past few weeks, here's a couple things I learned through trial and error:

  • Lower the game audio a bit and have your voice be the priority if you plan to give commentary on what you're doing.
  • Talk with confidence. In the first couple streams, I would commentate but at a very hush tone. This made my voice very unappealing to hear (my opinion after rewatching the streams)
  • If you're planning to get a microphone, find one that captures sound in a specific direction. As in, the microphone doesn't pick up the entire room.
Personally, I bought a FIFINE T669 Microphone set for $45 on Amazon (on sale) and it's been treating me well so far. If you want an example of the quality, you can check the video below:
https://youtu.be/5ADcDFy51Pc

I did watch your video and my quick thoughts are:
  • The sound quality of your mic has much to be desired. It's distinctively inferior to the video quality. There's a saying when it comes to filmmaking. "If it sounds bad, then it looks bad." Maybe for Mad Games Tycoon, your current mic can add some charm to the video, but I wouldn't share those same thoughts if you were playing a more high end modern game with crispy 4K graphics.
  • Honestly, I'm not too nitpicky with the volume. You can lower the game audio if you want though. It won't hurt. At the end of the day, you have the final say.

Thank to the last poster, I found a good mic for less then $100. It's the finine t669. Saw a video comparing it and the blue yeti, with a z490 and forgot the other one.

So if anyone is thinking of getting a mic check this video out and make your decision.
