I think it went Ok, unfortunately, I did not get to solve the whole problem. His feedback was that I should take more time and think about the deeper complexities of a problem (granted I asked for feedback)
I think getting hired is 50/50 at best ... Copied to Clipboard!

Tech interviews are just as much about ability to learn as knowing the information, so asking for feedback was probably really positive.

If it makes you feel any better tech interviews are usually dumb bullshit that don't reflect the kind of work you'll actually do

One piece of advice I received from the school I went to, in regards to new developers. If it feels like you did bad in a tech interview, you probably did ok. If it feels like you nailed it, you probably bombed it.
I did cry in an interview once. It was a mock interview, but still. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I found Cracking the Coding Interview useful for brushing up before interviewing again. Covers a wide range of topics with practice problems and goes over system design interviews (not sure if that is relevant for you).

His feedback was that I should take more time and think about the deeper complexities of a problem (granted I asked for feedback) its really tough for me as an interviewer to give feedback since i usually need to sit down and digest their answers for a while before i feel comfortable grading them. a lot of the time i end up in a totally different spot than my first impression from the interview it is usually good feedback to slow down in interviews though -- not finishing all the questions isnt necessarily a bad thing, and being able to divide up a problem and think about what a solution would look like is worth something even if you don't solve it grimhilde00 posted...
