Do sites ask for ID and address verification when making bitcoin deposits/withdrawals? I kind of want to stay as anonymous as possible supposedly this is bitcoins big selling point?

regulations on this stuff vary drastically by jurisdiction. i don't think i can use crypto at all in my state, and i needed to provide very detailed ID to even make an account.

your state may allow deposits and withdrawals in crypto, but they'll probably already have your tax info from just making the account.

I only use free sites so I can't help. Regulations on money sites have changed a lot since the days when I would use them and crypto wasn't a thing back then afaik
