How do you do this in an image editor?

The short sides would have to be less than long sides over PI/2. The editor would compress the inner side of the ring. It seems like something to be in an editor.

Custom slide rule. Use app to create custom scales or wait for hobbiest to create scales for you in a rectangle.

Then convert the slide rule to a circular slide rule. The scales get compressed but it is all good because the scales are read using a radii cursor.

I have thought of another way of doing this. I convert the slipstick scales to a graph in polar coordinates. Now my problem is printing out the sticks so they are consistent and solid.
