For Jesus to be an anti racist I'd at least expect him to use his omniscience and recognize that the Bible telling slaves to obey their masters would form a moral shieldwall for the American conquests and triangle trade which killed millions of black people and Native American people

To clarify my original post, I took issue with TC's use of the term "anti-racist." You can't just not be a racist to be an anti-racist. An anti-racist is somebody who uses the power available to them to fight racism actively.

Jesus, who is God, is omnipotent, able to change any aspect of his creation. He's also omniscient such that he already knows how his words will be used in the future. Given the literal infinite amount of power he has and his refusal to use it to prevent the horrific race-based enslaving and genocide of millions upon millions of people-- people living their entire lives in the confines of slave ships, working 16 hour days in a sugarcane plantation, mutilating themselves to avoid the agony of working any longer --Jesus is by definition not an anti-racist.

this is just a weakly formulated variant of the problem of evil. Understood and debunked for a long time already. No one has ever explained why the problem of evil would have to be true.

I keep posting the Kardashev scale because I believe it is a way to understand why our underdeveloped notions of omniscience, omnipresence, are a stupid point of contention and have nothing to do with what Jesus actually said or whether or not he couldve been an alien at the top of that scale simply doing the best that is possible with free-willed or semi-willed beings.

Sure. With that in mind, I find it significant that the founding of his religion did nothing to curtail racism or racial slavery. You'd think that if you were God and were giving yourself one shot at laying out the blue print of how to live you'd include commands to outlaw slavery or something. But I guess the whole 'worship me' thing took up all the space.

They claim God is their Father and yet they completely missed the mark. Jesus came to correct that and spread the real message of God and Jesus.
