RTX 3060 manufacturers are literally selling (successfully) the 3060 for more than that.

I still can't believe how lucky I got with the PS5 pre-order. I bought one of those ridiculously overpriced Gamestop bundles, but one of the games was cancelled as a retail product (Destruction All-Stars) which resulted in GS redoing the bundle into individual products, which I was able to return in-store.

Extra controller, Miles Morales, etc.

If there wasn't a chip shortage, the RTX 3080 is definitely worth $699. It's more powerful than the Series X / PS5, and by a huge margin.

It's literally gotten to the point where scalpers actually figured out how to order the cards before the websites even update to show them in stock.

@DarkRoast

You are exaggerating really just how large a margin the graphical differences are. When you can buy a ps5 for $500, compared to just a single part of a PC which is the RTX for near a thousand dollars, then needing another thousand or more in the other parts to match up to the gaming quality of the RTX. You are looking at the highest end PC being a couple thousand dollars. With the ps5 you will have it for 10 years without needing any upgrades for the graphics that next gen is gonna bring, compared to interval upgrades needed for a PC to run the same graphics

Nvidia is so far ahead hardware wise that if games utilize DLSS that 3080 will stay ahead of the PS5 the whole gen

DLSS is just ridiculous.

I can't believe the kinds of visuals my laptop can pull off at good frame rates because of it.

@DarthAragorn do you have a rtx 3080? I was looking at prices and somehow its going for between $1500 to 2500. The higher end prices are ebay ones. You know how price gougers are when it comes to items that are in limited quantity and high demand.

DLSS will stay a limited gimmick unless nvidia magically makes it open source. hopefully AMD gets their shit together and brings out their promised alternative. the sheer fact that they've got control over consoles and could easily make use of it there means that its the winner out of the gate.

I managed to get one in October at MSRP. Benefits of having a Micro Center retail store in a small market.

Well thats cool then. At least you were a lucky person to find it for the lower price. I mean i am not a PC user at all, i dont own a PC but i read about different technologies. And yes the RTX 3080 is the top tier graphics card, but i still believe that a $500 ps5 can put out nearly the same level of graphics. I mean next gen gaming, ps5 and xbox series x, only started a few months ago. Imagine how the new games coming out later this year and next year will look on them
