To be fair, some of it was due to the movie being filmed near an internment camp for Muslim minorities

There actually is some valid reason to be mad about the production of the film. Supposedly some internment camp employees helped on set

That said, I finally watched like the first half hour the other day at my parents house before getting interrupted. Might finish it today or tomorrow

It actually seems like a good movie. But I still feel some guilt over it cause of the internment camp thing

This and the actress controversy was why I didn't watch it but strictly talking about the movie, I thought it was good.

Most of the hate I saw for the movie was that it was "pandering" to China and that Mulan was a "mary sue".
