Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. Fast paced action RPG, good characters, good story. Was one of my favorite games so far.

If you are willing to get into a slow burn and willing to read the largest script in gaming, you should give the trails series a look. It consists of ten games as of right now, and each game has as much text as all lord of the rings novels combined. Its all one story (not like final fantasy, games should be played in release order because its one large story) and the games are still coming out with a new one coming this year.
You won't find better world building in any other game series or piece of fiction in my opinion. ... Copied to Clipboard!
