Chicago is setting up United Center on the internet and on the phone, supposedly. My guess is that people will still come in from the suburbs to grab all the appointments.

Some seniors have been able to make appointments. They are not going to check ID so I do not know how they can tell it is a real senior and a genuine Chicagoan.

Also the online ai is problematical.

Hours later you get an email saying appointment cancelled. Are they using an AI to cancel appointments? Gotta love how there is so much faith in the reliability of an obviously glitching system.

The news claims 27, 000 appointments made. HOWEVER, how many of these have been cancelled by the AI. If this was not so vital, I would be ready to laugh on Tuesday when no one shows up due to all of the appointment having been cancelled.

There is now a walk-up facility and a drive-up facility at United Center. zocdoc does not say which is which.

The unfortunate technical issue quoted in post #5 may be that applicant has to complete optional information and after completing the optional info, applicant must check box authorizing zocdoc, and then must save it to profile.

Local organizations assisted local seniors so the good news is that there are enough shots for Chicago Seniors no matter how many got taken by who knows what.

It looks as though there will also be enough for the rest of Chicago's 1B.

What I take away from this is that it is scary how difficult it is for ordinary people to get their shots and that it is way too easy for the black market to sell the shots away.

You need a commercial grade phone system to get though to the phone making appointments.

You need decent wifi and computer to access the zocdoc site which is booking and you need top notch wifi and computer to be fast enough to get an appointment. A typical smart phone is not fast enough to reach the make an appointment at United Center page.
