pretty much damn near every manual labor field is absolutely starved for employeesEveryone has been told, for three or four decades, that you gotta go to college. Then, after four or five (or more) years and a pile of loans dumped into a maybe-useful degree, the last thing you're going to want to do is stick your hands into a trash bin or car engine. ... Is it true they're having a hard time finding Data analysts/scientists because the requirements are so high and they're very vague about what they want in a Data Scientists/Analytics? Asking as someone who is interested in the field. Its not so much that the requirements are high. I work with several teams as a recruiter for analytics. Its that there are so many flavors of analysts and data scientists. They can have various industry experience: product, finance, marketing, tech, machine learning, NLP, AI, etc. Each team wants a different type that is aligned with what they do. All the other skills are pretty much the same. Python, R and Tableau being the most common. But its the industry experience that sets people apart and can make it difficult to find the exact fit. But every company is itching to hire them and hire them fast because more analytics = more revenue. I can barely close them because they have so many competing offers and are getting snatched left and right. I dont think I can speak to any candidate that isnt already talking to a dozen other companies. Its insane. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Having grown up poor as fuck, I never gave a damn where my money came from as long as I got it--and yeah, I did go to college. Never stopped looking for a job in the field I wanted, but I was also working doing remodels. Reason why a lot of my friends followed my lead was I managed to completely avoid that "getting in to the adult world out of college in crippling debt" phase. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Amazon moving into the pharmacy arena via mail order is prolly gonna wreck retail the us job market is a joke. you need a US degree and many other things to become a pharmacist. Even the guy at your local grocery store pharmacy is almost a doctor. when Amazon moves into pharmacy some dude out of a 3rd world country and who barely speaks English, if at all, will do what he used to do, and all of a sudden all of the professional qualifications and insane roadblocks that were needed for pharmacists will stop mattering. do you think legal zoom has a bunch of attorneys accepted to all 50 state bars working on LLC incorporation? nope. But if you want to do it for someone else you have to be doctor of laws admitted for practice of law at the state where youre trying to incorporate. --- Welcome to the Spore Store! That aside, is it good? it always strikes me as the coolest trade, because electricity I don't know how it is most places but around here the pay is a joke at some comoanies. I knew a second year apprentice who told me who got a raise to 16.50... and they believed he was good enough to be working by himself wiring up a car dealership. Then again I've known electricians who make high 20s an hour too but they were all older guys. And you can do great if you start your own company and get work. Its not for me I just hate crawling around on trusses in insulation and shit in these super tight and hot spots... that's rare but electricians do it more often than I ever had to as a carpenter. We could tear shit open and not have to be in those shitty spots so much. But I mean yeah I guess in a sense it is cool if you really know your shit. I can do basic wiring but complex shit is so confusing to me. --- "A dope trailers no place for a kitty, Ricky. Thats why." https://files.catbox.moe/gqwlkg.jpeg ~ by JimCarrysToe. Be amaze. ...
