If you can no longer be like an engineer like no_u_l7 being able to watch netflix and make 6 figures.
But everyone is able to make a living wage and no bread lines.

Yes or no?

Nobody who even posts on this site is in the group that should be targeted for wealth redistribution. Go for the people with billions or hundreds of millions of dollars and people who are making million dollar salaries.

If someone has a few million, good for them. The people who need to be punished are the people who have SO much money that there isnt enough for everyone. Most of them for it through raising rate and cutting workforces and theyre all in monopolies.

I mean you could probably still make 6 figures doing relatively easy shit

there can still be multi millionaires in a world where no one is poor/hungry/homeless.

But like look at people with billions of dollars or even like 100 million. Thats more money than they or the next several generations of their families will ever need so why not spread it around to help the less fortunate?

That's a good way to prevent further human development. If you can't make more money then big companies wouldnt even bother trying to do new things because there is no benefit to them.

Why are big companies the arbiters of human development?

Everyone, as in, everyone in the world? In my country? In my city? Family?
I've frequently complained (not in here I guess) that I think people should make more money and be able to afford stuff like I can. I don't feel like I deserve my wealth. So I guess sure.

Under $25 million? You wouldn't even notice the increase in taxes if we want everyone to have free college, free healthcare, and universal basic income.

You can still be extremely rich by making services/tools that solve problems and by making art. Startups will always exist, and giant corporations that don't innovate anymore can sell themselves to the people as utilities (reward them by just purchasing their stock entirely) until we live in a world of amazing futuristic utilities for all.

It can be done. AOC 2024 if you want free college/healthcare and UBI in < 10 years.

like with almost every other utility you rely on, its funded by the people and was only made possible because of cooperation

we are born into a social contract, and your own way of life becomes impossible if we start to reject it

yep the universal approach is key. and it can be decentralized enough to make @Prismsblade happy about not needing to live under an oppressive State

for example UBI + vertical farms and ISPs run by communities. distributed across cities and small towns. that way there's no single point of failure or control.
