Yea. That was odd how that happened. Those companies must have know the vaccine worked before the election. Who cares if it helped Trump they could have got the vaccines out earlier.

Trump actually got into a big public spat with (IIRC) the FDA in October because he wanted to release the results of early trials of the vaccine ahead of the election and they didn't want to rush it so they released it a week after the election.

it didn't stay in the news very long because, as with everything related to trump, there was some new thing a week later that took over headlines.

Trump was 0 for N on trumpeting scientific success what with the hydroxy chloroquine (sp?), Bleach, sunlight, or that cocktail solution he was given that makes me think of energy drinks.

Personally I wouldn't want anything I made to be touted by an idiot. So if there was some decision to keep it from the public beyond testing, I wouldn't fault them for it. Not like it would have mattered anyway since he would have tried to botch the whole thing unless he was given a "good deal."

The economy sucked under both of them and it only got worse under Trump. To a politician, the economy is good if the stock market looks good. They dont care about the fact that most people are struggling to make ends meet. The middle class and the lowest class are basically merging now (middle class workers salaries are turning into $15/hr).
