Probably depends where you live, but here you have to give your tenant 2 days notice before entering the property.

Some landlords do routine inspections. Never had that personally when I was a renter and dont require it of my tenants. I would avoid landlords who require it if possible. But still, they have to give you notice. I don't know every single states statute, but I highly doubt any of them just allow landlords to come and go into their units as they please.

Well, a quick google search shows that this isn't true. There just aren't any state statutes regarding it, meaning the terms of your lease spell out when a landlord can or can't enter the property
