How much can you bench? (Be honest)

This is purely to help me gauge whether I've had any acceptable progress from going to the gym for 6 months, but I'm not confident to actually post how much I can bench. Therefore, I need to compare myself to the rest of CE, lol.

Please, honest answers only.

Not sure since it haven't been to a gym in almost a year.

Back when I was going to the doctor gym I did 250 for reps. But most people at my gym did that.

I have no idea what my ORM is. Don't care.

No idea. It's been years since I've tried to bench. When I was in the gym right before Covid, I was mostly doing cardio. So probably under 100 lbs now lol.

When I was 19/20, I weighed 180 and could bench 200. But that's only because I was trying to keep up with a childhood friend that basically lives in the gym.

I haven't benched in years since I last had a regular gym partner, the thought of doing it without a spotter terrifies me and I don't like asking strangers. Back then I don't even think I reached a full plate (135) but it's possible I might have been able to get through that for one rep. I probably weighed about 150 at the time, so at least it's almost body weight?

Now I don't even know if I'd be able to do 95 lol

Nah, when it comes to fitness and improving your strength, I feel like most people are pretty supportive. As long as you don't come off like those "I bet I lift more than you" types, people shouldn't give you a hard time.

I do dumbell bench, so I'm limited by my ability to get into position. It's not easy to convert. So I'm moving 180lbs for reps which would translate to like 210-250 max i guess.

I start at 80lbs dumbbells, then move my way up to 120lbs.

You seem to indicate that you rep 90lbs dumbbells for reps of ___?

If those reps are between 6-10, then that probably equates to a 315lb bench at minimum.

I've been lifting pretty consistently for about 15 months. I took off a month once in the middle of that, and a couple weeks twice (once because I hurt myself and once because I was sick) but otherwise I've been extremely consistent.

I weigh about 180 and I benched 160x8 this week

My best ever was 245 ORM. But I had various plateaus before that. When I started I could barely do 135. Then 185 was my max for a long time. Then it went to 225 and stuck in that range and I have never been able to rep that more than 4 times. Ill never be putting up 300+.

Dont kick yourself, if you are, for not being able to outlift everyone in the gym if you cant.
