I never really gave my nose hair much thought before since it's mostly inside my nose. But many moons ago, when I was dating a prior girlfriend, she mentioned that my nose hair came out slightly past my nostrils (I didn't even notice, I think since she was shorter than me she got a better angle to observe) and that it was "gross" and I've been obsessively self-conscious about it ever since. It's an easy fix, but I'm curious as to others experiences.

I've been plucking my nose hairs for a while. I have a weird thing against nose and ear hair, I hate both of them.

whenever I see some poking out I rip that shit out. Or occasionally my nose will be real itchy for the day and Ill be like hmm stray hair I bet and I rip that shit out

Lmao!!!! I was just fucking around with one nose hair that keeps sticking out. Its as if he wants to see the world. And hes so hard to pluck out.

Was debating whether or not I should buy a whole trimmer just for him.

I trim them. I don't like them sticking out.

I must have had a horrible father. It seems like it is common knowledge to trim your nose hair, but I was never attuned to notice it, nor was I taught it was a regular grooming practice for many. Thanks Dad!

It was not in a friendly way. She said it in a way like she was grossed out and I should have already known about this gross thing and not been doing it. I'm glad she said something though because I would have never known otherwise!

Oh damn. Sounds like you dodged a bullet by breaking up. Should have grew out your nose hairs and braided them to spite her.

I rip my nostril hairs out with tweezers about twice a month. As I've gotten older I've started to grow thicker hair in and on my ears, that gets ripped out too. On a more weekly basis.

Eh, I wouldn't say that moment was reflective of her entire personality. There's also a lot of context missing in my story that isn't really necessary unless I wanted to do a dissertation on my relationship. She didn't go about that moment in the kindest way, but she wasn't a bad person or anything. We're still friends.

Trim. I have a electric trimmer. It's painless and easy just to stick it up there and let it do it's thing.

My nose itches all the time if I don't trim the hair. I used to use scissors but I picked up a small battery powered trimmer from Aldi a few months ago, now I just shove it up my nose and it does all the work.

Makes sense. One comment doesn't necessarily make you a horrible human being. I still think you should braid your nosehairs.
