There are issues with these sites having very nebulous applications of their rules that then sometimes get overturned when enough people take action.

So par for the course basically everywhere? Sometimes you can even be completely in the wrong and get something overturned. Look at shitty customers that bug any company's HR.

Stuff on the person to person level isn't really in the same ballpark as the mess that is big tech. The issue with these big sites is that they leave wiggle room and are rarely transparent with how exactly someone broke the rules. Then the only way these people get justice is if they're big names with a lot of fans. Then at the end of it, they near always pretend it was a mistake all along. The 1/6 bannings are really the only case I can think of where they provided a rational as to how Trump and the other accounts broke the rules. It's likely the lack of oversight on the millions upon millions of accounts is their biggest issue, but I don't doubt that people have let their personal biases take control.
