No work, just took classes in high school with it. Used a machine to auto woodcarve by typing in a set of codes

I took a Java class in college. Also assembly. That is where I learned I hated coding.

I feel like I know all of them at this point since every so often my boss will be like "hey can you support this?" and I'm like "sure" and then it's in a language I've never even heard of before so I have to figure it out.

The only time I threw in the towel and was like "no I just can't figure this shit out" was when I got a dot net nuke website to make a security update for.

tinkered with: haskell, fortran, cobol

also developed a language for modeling natural language exchanges within an artificial conversational context but i don't want to dox myself by naming it

i'd recommend indulging in a hobby project that keeps you interested and engaged for a long period of time; helps with both learning and retaining the ins and outs

I used to know SQL, but I haven't used it since I graduated. I could probably pick it back up pretty easily.

I took classes on Java and some web-dev languages (like... CSS, javascript, and some others) that I definitely don't remember and probably couldn't do again without serious study. I don't even remember how to write a hello world in Java. I think you have to import a library for it?

I know JS and C++ the best

I also know PHP, Go, Java, a touch of Haskell, Ruby, Rust, CSS, HTML, and just a small little bit of some Python

I've been working as a 'software engineer' for 5 years and I have a BS in Computer Science so....... maybe?

But seriously in my work as a cog in a machine corporate software engineer 2 (hopefully getting 3 soon) you are just expected to know how to code irrespective of language. The concepts are the same with more or less bullshit depending on the language. C++, C, and god forbid anything older (basic *vomits*) don't hold your hand as much but its all just logic combined with syntax.

Logically you want something to keep looping around until something happens so how do you write that. Google it. You want to make something loop faster with THREADING how do you do that? Google it. That is true whether you are doing it in C, java, Python, or whatever.

I taught myself a little bit of C++
Right now in college I'm also taking classes for Scheme and Python
