Tbh I've been curious about a potential third series for a while, maybe dipping into the more niche aspects of the extended universe

the next Avatar should be an Earthbender given the cycle, so I'd be curious to see more focus on stuff like sandbending and potentially even glassbending if that's a possibility

I wonder if this is the direct result of what a nightmare the Netflix show is shaping out to be.

by the time Korra dies there will be computer technology, the next Earthbender avatar will be able to hack shit by bending the silicon in computers

It's weird because you always see Nickelodeon do these things to create more content for the series and then when they come out they completely abandon support and are like, "Screw it, we're bored with this now."

Remember how hyped Korra was? Didn't it get like three seasons contracted before the first episode aired? Then not even before the end of the first season it was like they completely hated the idea it even existed. I can imagine the moment the movie and all this expanded franchise stuff starts rolling out Nick will lose interest like a distracted toddler and the whole thing will shoved aside. They probably won't even put on the Paramount streaming service, they'd be ashamed to waste the server space and it'll probably wind up on Crackle only in Finland or something.

The good news (I think I don't really get the industry) is that they have their own studio now which should help keep them going
