Please please please let this movie be good! I'm not asking for a masterpiece, but at least somewhere in the Detective Pikachu range (and that's already a pretty low bar)

I'm glad it's not MKX or MK11 gory and the characters look well represented. Sad to not see Johnny Cage in it, but I think Kano is going to be the one who will take the Comic Relief role. I'm just glad Kung Lao is getting some love and it's funny and cool to see Ludi Lin (Black Ranger) as Luke Kane. The final part with Sub Zero freezing the blood to a knife and then creating an ice wall, unnecessarily, was fucking badass though. I have mix feelings about not using Ed Boon for the "Get over here!" line, but Sanada is too much of a badass for me to complain about.

I'll definitely get HBOmax just to watch this movie.

I still feel that Cole is going to end up becoming Johnny Cage by the end of the film if they wish to make this a running series of films.

As for the Scorpion line, i've said it in other topics, I actually really like this version as it's less-cartoony and sounds more like someone actually wanting to kill someone.

Yeah that was weird, though I'm glad they're not trying to stuff every character in the movie like how Annihilations did.

I was just in a discussion with my friends about it and one of them said that Cole Young kind of sounds like Kuai Liang, the younger brother of Bi Han (the Sub Zero we're seeing in the trailer). I'm just thinking that he definitely has something to do with the ninjas and their conflict, considering we saw a "jump scare" when Cole was looking at the mirror and Scorpion suddenly appears. In the plot summary on Wikipedia, it even says that he's being hunted down by the Lin Kuei ninja clan.

But yeah I don't think the line was bad per say, I just got used to Ed Boon saying it.

That's actually fascinating and would make total sense if Bi Han dies in this movie and comes back as Saibot in a future film.
