I've played through to the end boss but never beaten it before, and had the cart when I was a kid, but this is the first time I've beaten it.

I loved it. The side quests are so rich and satisfying to complete. It's really cool to see all of the characters and how they interact.

I said this in another topic, but seeing what these characters go through and their motivations is really great. The Postmaster seems so tragic- he dedicates his life to delivering the mail in a speedy, efficient manner, so much so that on the third night he wants to leave and take refuge but he's conflicted because mail is still scheduled for the next day. You really see his inner turmoil as he kneels on the ground of the Post Office (his home) caught between his safety and his life's purpose.

I noticed a Goron was sitting outside the Stock Pot Inn on the first night and I couldn't figure out how to activate him or make him do anything. It wasn't until I looked him up online and realized I missed a cut scene where it's revealed that the room under my name "Link" that I checked into, was actually HIS room and now he's stuck sleeping outside. THAT is hilarious.

There's so much to this game. Def Top 5 Zelda for me.

As far as the ending- really cool to see the carnival and all the people enjoying it. Going through the game you get really intimate with these characters and their plans for the carnival so seeing it actually happen is satisfying. Kinda weird how Link just fucks off and doesn't even stay for the carnival that he helped save, but whatever. The only thing that would maybe make it a better ending is if he found Navi in the end.

Would love to see the Happy Mask Salesman cameo in another game, since he's now been in two LoZ games. Fuck Tingle

MM really has the best characters in the entire series. It's actually very fun to learn their schedules by repeating the same three days over and over, as well as the little changes that occur due to your actions.

if you're new to the game it's best to just focus on one or two events at a time

as you get more accustomed to how the game works, as well as what happens when, it becomes easier to juggle more things at once

Right! She's trying to live her life with her Gibdo Dad in the closet, and if you don't save him right away she rushes into the house trying to protect him and makes you leave. That's pretty sad

The Anju/Kafei quest is really satisfying to complete also- which I was happy to figure out without a guide. There are a few things you have to do exactly right or else it won't work.

I especially love the letter that he wrote to himself, that even goes "YA!" when you read it

also the scene where he delivers the letter to Anju on day 1:
"YA!" "UGH!"
"YA!" "UGH!"

... yeah, I'm amused by the dumbest things

This fucking killed me last night

I was trying so hard to swerve left and right along the paths and kept falling off. It took me a while to realize I had to ricochet off the treasure chests. And even then, there are still parts where it's easy to fall off

You ever finish a game and then feel kinda empty because you're not in the mood to play anything else?

Kinda how I feel after beating this

Like there's almost a post partum depression after finishing a really good game

just fire it up again and keep playing

part of MM's genius is it lets you play your favorite segments over and over again without having to start a new file

Such a brilliant game. I'd love for it to get a modern remaster and some feature tweaks perhaps.

Very cool- I did see some of these during my playthrough. A great example of how rich this game is
