Not exactly the same, but Ive had people try to set me up with someone and they used the absolute best picture that the person ever took in their life to show me what they looked like. So it wasnt the girls fault, but it was sorta like this:

In my experience, it's largely womyn who do this. I doubt many people on this board will have ever done it.

Edit: Read the topic title the wrong way around. In that case, I highly suspect it's happened to people on this board, but not to me (I'm good at spotting it and run for the hills - something the fats would never do - at the slightest hint that the person might be fat fishing).

Well... as a gay guy, I'd say gay guys are guilty of this too.

yea I've been surprised many times when I see a cute face that doesn't look excessively fat but she turns out to be 100 pounds overweight.

I like bodyfat to cuddle up to; like 5'3 and 140-160 pounds is nice. But no whales....get off your ass and make a commitment and I'll take you out.

I mean. I once edited a picture because I had temporary acne right on the middle of my nose, I don't think it's on the same level as editing my body to make it looks like I am a bodybuilder

Not on a dating site/app (never been on one), but a million years ago I was getting along well with a girl on a forum and we started talking on MSN messenger a lot, and the occasional pic she sent may have been angled a certain way but she looked more or less average sized? This was before Facebook was a massive thing so I only saw what she sent or posted on the forum. Eventually we ended up meeting (I had other reasons to be in the general area but figured might as well see what happens with her...) and... I didnt even recognize her, lol. Like very significantly larger than the photos made her look. I dunno if they were all super old pictures or she just gained over 100 lbs since I started talking to her or what. >_>. Im an equal opportunist and didnt necessarily mind but it was shocking.
