A Nevada School District is investigating a teen heifer who used the death of George Floyd for a Sadie Hawkins dance invitation to a boy as it has now gone viral causing outrage over the poster!

It sparked immediate rage online with one twitter user writing "How dare you joke about someone's death?"

Another says "The white privilege int his picture is LOUD, girl cmon".

Many are now calling for her to be SUSPENDED at her school for the disgusting image as one user said "Let them know this is completely unacceptable and disciplinary action should be taken"

Foothill High School and the Clark County School District said they are aware of this and are investigating as they do not tolerate racially insensitive behaviours that contradict an inclusive community and impact in their school culture

The district will now have a virtual student town hall forum for students impacted by these recent events

Should action be taken over this?

Outrage shouldn't drive policy. If she violated an established rule, that's one thing. "She dun got the interwebz mad!" is another. Angry mobs who don't even live in the state let alone the district shouldn't be influencing policy.

However, rules regarding joking about deaths are wildly inconsistent. For instance, if Gamefaqs believed in equity and consistency, a lot of of people in those Rush Limbaugh topics would be suspended right now for making jokes. Instead, you even had some people daring the mods to suspend them... and only crickets were heard from where the mods were sitting.

I do believe companies or the like should stand their ground in whatever they think is right in some cases but sometimes it's just not worth the battle and this is one of those cases. It's much more easy to punish one person than try to appease a lot of angry people. Not only that but defending a joke about the death of a black man by cops doesn't seem like a good idea and certainly won't work out for them.

The problem is you have no conception of ordinary, or are trolling about pretending not to understand what's ordinary. More so, you bring up racism despite the fact her poster wasn't about race.

This isn't a company, this is fucking public school. Even if you feel that companies should capitulate to pressure -- which is really up to them -- government institutions should be held to a much higher standard of conduct with consistent rules.

I don't know who you are because you're on an alt, which is the whole point of alts. If you were on your main, I would have a pretty good idea of who you are.
