I'd go with: Metroid 1/ZM Metroid 2/MSR Super Metroid Metroid Fusion This is the main timeline order, which is also the release order if you play the originals (but substituting ZM and MSR in is totally fine, IMO). After playing Fusion, then you could do Prime Trilogy.
