Pieces Of Color: When YouTubes oversensitive filters think CHESS VIDEOS are racist, will language have to adapt to Big Tech?

Croatian chess player Antonio Radic, known to his million subscribers as Agadmator, runs the worlds most popular chess channel on YouTube. Last summer he found his account suspended due to its harmful and dangerous content. Radic, who was in the middle of a show with Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura at the time, was puzzled. He received no explanation for the ban, which was reversed on appeal, but speculated that YouTubes censorship algorithm may have heard him say something like black goes to B6 instead of C6, white will always be better.
If that's the case, I'm sure all [all of] my 1,800 videos will be taken down as it's black against white to the death in every video, he told the Sun at the time.

With all its talk of black-on-white war, YouTubes hate speech-filtering AI cant tell the difference between chess players and violent racists. Perhaps leaving robots in charge of the English language isnt such a good idea?

You could say the same in reverse. That, and algorithms can develop and maintain an adjustable consistency. You won't get that with humans. Just look at politicians, or police officers, or mods.

It's pretty impressive that the algorithm picked that up tbqh, and it was reversed when an actual human looked at it so I'm not really seeing the problem. This is why there is an appeal process

I'm not surprised, as robot combat like battlebots, robot wars, etc. was being deleted as animal cruelty/fighting just a year or so ago.

I don't blame them for wanting to use an AI to filter through that, but it's just more evidence of quirks.

Well yes thats true. I dont even use facebook, though i heard good things about Gab. I don't use gab either though so i can't compare. But i will say that most social media don't have freedom of speech. People get modded or banned for a ton of opinions or feedback. I feel like 4chan is the one place you can say anything crazy or post wild things and not get banned

RT is legit. Sure the op-eds can be all over the place (some are good, some are pandering), but the core news content is perfectly verified. Its a serious site, they cant afford to make shit up.
As a side-note, RT France is even better, extremely professional with high quality French journalists, deontological and all. Plus it covers much more international matters than most others. Its quite followed over here, but thats another matter.

They wont. I've had verified stories with a dozen independent sources posted on this site, and everyone coming in would just call it false based on their opinion of whatever the first link was.

Head of the CIA could come on tv or YT and personally thank the press for Project Mockingbird, and half the country would call it fake white nationalist propaganda simply based on what it aired on.
