Blue_Popo 02/20/21 11:42:58 PM #1:	2020 I had some time so I decided to catch up/rewatch in prep for the new slate of shows/movies. I need wandavision to end before I consider its placing on my list but here it goes. Maybe some SPOILERS in my writeup 5) Guardians of the Galaxy: I knew nothing about these characters and went in blind when it came out and was blown away. Great cast, funny, just overall feels like a full movie start to finish. Ronan was a lame ass villain which is maybe the only blemish on it. I kind of miss old Groot now. 4) Black Panther: I felt it was the best "traditional" one hero movie that MCU put out. It looks amazing (aside from the final battle which had ps2 graphics). I like the soundtrack. MCU struggles when it comes to villains because they are one and dones but Killmonger killed it in his one outing. Going to miss T'Challa. 3) Infinity War: I have more issues with this movie than the movies I listed before it. Wanda and Vision romance plot comes out of nowhere and they love each other so much they risk half the universe for it. Quill also got thrown under the bus for plot progression. That said it was a blast from beginning to end. It has the best of Thanos. There were a lot of characters and areas to balance and I thought it did a good job. This is not a negative or a positive but the Red Skull thing is so random and I still don't know how to feel about him randomly being a stonekeeper. 2) Thor Ragnarok: The first 2 Thor movies were at the bottom of my list just above the hulk movie marvel pretends doesn't exist. I had heard good things about this but had no desire to watch this. This outdid the entire MCU in humor. It gave Thor a new personality which is welcome for me, glad he ditched the full Shakespeare thing. This was the best of Loki. I know he was in the promotional material and cover but that's how little attention I paid to this movie that Hulk's appearance was a surprise to me as well. Hela was also one of the MCU's better one and done villains. I honestly want to put this as #1 1) Engame: Such a boring answer but I dug the way it respected everything that came before it, especially in a world where Game of Thrones crapped over everything before it. Time travel is always bs and this movie has its time travel moments that are annoying but I'll gloss over it.
