As far as being a genius, he is. He develops his own tech, and his genius was the sole reason he was able to overcome Mysterio in FFH. A good chunk of the Marvel universe was established in the pages of Fantastic Four comics. Doctor Doom (who is arguably just as iconic to the brand as Spidey), Galactus, bringing Namor back from the pre-Marvel days into the Marvel universe, Silver Surfer, Black Panther, fuck pretty much most of Cosmic Marvel branched off from the Fantastic Four.
