Don't know those others so I'll check them out. Shad is fine, but he seems to mix history and "this is what you could do now" a bit too much for my tastes. The issue isn't even that he mixes them, it's that he doesn't draw a clear line when changing subjects within the same video. Matt Easton of Scholagladiatoria is my favorite. As in, he got his Bachelors in Medieval Archaeology and did his dissertation on 14th century armor. He's been a HEMA instructor since 2000 and has been at the forefront of a lot of study of the old manuals (The basis of HEMA). Not because I take an account called SIMP seriously, but in case anyone is wondering what his credentials actually are. His channel is probably the best resource on the internet for people first getting into the study of historical equipment. --- 'Cause you know that I have no fear, ain't gonna walk into the river and disappear.
