Agnes is Agatha Harkness, which surprised no-one, but is Ralph going to turn out to be someone? Agatha mentions him, but hes been conspicuous in his absence.

Ralph is probably Mephisto, and it's gonna go the comic route of Tommy and Billy being fragments of his soul that Agatha helped make physical through Wanda giving birth to them.

I'm concerned about the twins, though, since the camera focused on the rabbit when Wanda noticed they weren't there, and Scratch is supposed to be Agatha's son in the comics.

I'm just wondering if they're going to have Agatha be Wanda's teacher and become evil, or something else.

I still haven't quite shaken the idea that she just made up Ralph to be less suspicious, but I think I have to move past that.

I still dunno if it'll be Mephisto though. That might be a lot for this show to be introducing.

Yeah, I honestly don't think Mephisto is going to show up in this either, but if it *were* to be anyone, this offscreen cohort of Agatha's would be the most likely, since he's been namedropped in almost every episode, and their names are similar enough with the "ph" sound.

I mean, people are expecting the Fantastic Four and the X-Men all to be introduced in this show too, which I also don't buy happening for a second. So of the three, I'd say Mephisto is the most likely.

I think Pietro is gonna help Monica. It seems to be an actual person and Agatha just seemed to be controlling him in that scene where he was introduced.

tbh, I feel like this is the weakest episode this season.

maybe it's because everyone suspected Agnes that after the reveal, it's like, okay...

and the "aerospace engineer" thing ended up just leading to the moon rover thing, which was kinda lame.

Lol, the moon rover thing was definitely a huge letdown.

I wonder if the Nexus commercial was intentional in being the Nexus from Star Trek Generations, which was pretty much exactly what's happening with Wanda. A reality is straight up created for Picard where he has a wife and kids and his nephew is alive.

whew, finally some answers. now, why do i think they're not the answers they seem to be...

alright. new theory. It has been agatha all along, and she's definitely the main antag here. but she's doing it for someone else, and she'll be redeemable (but not redeemed). Mephisto will be revealed to be who she's working for, and possibly even the big bad of phase 4, but not necessarily by the end of the last episode. and even if, likely only a very small tease.

great reveal. I suspected something was still up even though they tried to throw a curve ball with her last episode, she was the only one still semi active near the edge of the hex.

Pretty sure Agatha is doing this on behalf of Mephisto. Billy and Tommy are fragments of Mephisto and Agatha has been operating within this fake reality to plant the idea of creating these children within Wanda's subconscious (hence why they kept repeating the line "For the children" in Episode 2). I think Agatha saw Wanda's ability to create and manipulate reality and saw an opportunity.

As far as Quicksilver is concerned, I feel more confident than ever it's the actual Fox Quicksilver who has somehow been plucked from his reality and mind-controlled as an agent of Agatha's. If Agatha is able to plant "ideas" in Wanda's mind through subconscious manipulation, it makes sense that she planted the idea to bring Pietro back to have someone that can get close to her. But Agatha also wouldn't be aware how alarmingly different this version of Quicksilver is compared to the MCU's version because he died shortly after turning good.

I think people are setting themselves up for disappoint thinking that's actually Fox Quicksilver. It's probably just another MCU fakeout (just in the actual product this time instead of a fake scene in a trailer) and he's just some random schmuck Agatha manipulated. Hell, he might be Ralph and Agatha just thinks she manipulated him.
It's honestly more likely they accidentally bring the real Pietro back (and create/expose more mutants) similar to how House of M brought Hawkeye back.

So, anyway, was this supposed to be The Office, Modern Family, or both?

Idk man. Using CGI to hide story details in a trailer is one thing. Bringing back an actor from the Fox X-Men movies just for a cheap, in-universe casting gag doesn't sound like something Feige would do unless it amounted to something more, even if it's not in a way that we'd expect.

We already know this ties directly into Multiverse of Madness so surely the multiverse must be playing some effect in this show.

Yeah she does. But we don't know the full extent of those powers yet. In the comics, she's crazy powerful.

You know one possibility that I didn't consider?

What if the show is being super meta and Pietro is literally just Evan Peters (albeit a version that exists in the MCU)? You know, Evan Peters playing as himself playing as Quicksilver

Plus it looks like the next Spider-Man movie will have an actual multiverse plot.

I don't get why people are so invested in getting the Fox-men revived. More than half the movies were crap. So bad that they even erased their own timeline once (twice?). Their most famous portrayal (Hugh Jackman as Logan) said he's done with it.

In the first episode I truly thought Ralph was a nod to The Honeymooners.

I havent seen this episode yet, but Im looking forward to it.

almost no one wants the entire franchise. but there are a few characters that could be better saved than rebooted. Deadpool is probably the leader there, but QS should be a very close second.

Fox QS is highly overrated. He was nothing at all like his comic version, had a cliche personality and a broken powerset.

Deadpool's the only one I could honestly see them carrying over, if only because universe hopping would be about the least weird thing he's done. And the meta humor involved is kinda his whole shtick.

Pretty much all the characters were great sans Mystique, but thats as much to do with Lawrence clearly not wanting to play the character after a point as it does with them shoehorning her into everything.

It could be both the real deal and a fakeout, tbf.

Like, this isn't Fox Quicksilver, it's just a construct of Agatha's or someone she has "turned in" to Quicksilver, but when someone questions her about why she got the appearance wrong, she says she looked into the past and that's who she saw, implying that him not looking like ATJ is an accident and when she went looking for him for a template she accidentally saw into the Foxverse.

That way the multiverse is established, the Fox X-Men are canonised (leading to Deadpool although honestly if they don't offer an explanation as to how he's there it would be more in character), but they still don't start mixing and matching the cast. So, like, Evan Peters as Quicksilver is established to exist, this just... isn't him.

After all, wouldn't the Fox Quicksilver be 70-odd years old at this point in time?

we've had, what, one actual resurrection in the MCU so far (and it happened in this series), and three or four more close calls (one of which is also happened in this series, and a second one is from the most recent movie)? not exactly seeing a problem here. in fact, i'd say it's a welcome change from the comics.
