This is my view exactly. The crispy edges are too good to eat it cold.

Some of my family eats spam cold/"raw" all the time. Back when I ate it I always had to heat it, though I usually just went with the microwave. It still crisped a little bit.

There's no such thing as raw spam. It's already cooked, just cold.

Cooked spam is delicious with ketchup.

Spam musubis are also delicious.

my preferred method of cooking Spam is to use a mandoline to slice it super thin then fry the slices into extra crispy "chips". That said, I was frying up some Spam the other day and had to urge to try a little bit cold. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Honestly I would much rather eat cold Spam than hot Spam sliced thick or cubed.

Yeah I came in the topic like, I'm pretty sure spam by definition is already cooked...

That said, it's definitely better when you caramelize it some. But it's still a pretty low tier meat.

No, it's not cold. It's actually room temperature since it's a shelf-stable product prior to opening.

cold works in this case because it's a relative term. you wouldn't normally eat spam chilled unless it was in the fridge
