yeah, you've got to schedule it yourself. though i suppose if you've got a very proactive general practitioner they might try to schedule it for you.

there's probably like a priority system or something in place, right?

as somebody who's young, doesn't have an underlying condition, unemployed, and only ever goes out to get food, i'm assuming they'd ask me to schedule later (whenever that is) when there's more supply?

I heard something like people are getting free vaccines (or maybe they are all free but easier appointments) due to some people cancelling their appointments and you can't just let the vaccine go to waste.

Depends on your state. Most of them have schedules, where they are giving them to healthcare workers and those in nursing homes first, then the elderly, essential workers and those with health conditions, and then the rest of the public, based on various conditions.

If you Google your state and the vaccination schedule, you can probably get on a list to be notified when you are eligible.

depends on the state, but you're likely at the bottom of the list. supply is still a huge issue.

you could try poking around hospitals or a CVS. if someone cancels an appointment and they've got left over vaccine they'll give it to whoever walks in the door.
