Not really, but I do kind of regret selling my bitcoin shortly after it hit $100

FOMO as I wish I had more invested.

Maybe I'll dig up the screenshot later, but I have an old transaction from when 1 BTC = $440. I felt like I was late to the party then.

Also, who is the Chainlink millionaire here? I always forget

Bitcoin would have to reach 100k to turn my $5 into $10. Nope.

Yea. I can't even invest in it in my state. That what prevented me from getting into it years ago. And that is still the case in 2021.

Haven't heard about this but I bought a fair bit of it back in '17 based on ClearF's advice. Bought at $0.50 and now it's around $35 and continuing to go up. Might cash out when it hits $100 and pay off my mortgage.

I have a nice chunk of change in bitcoin. Enough to have fun watching it rise but not lose my life if it suddenly tanked

Maybe I'm misremembering, but there was definitely someone recently that was highly invested in Chainlink. The "million" figure feels right, but could be wrong.

I remember it because it was just a few weeks ago when Chainlink was ~ $23 an I was going to get some, but wanted to wait out the Chinese New year. :/

You'll be making the biggest mistake of your life if you do that.

Yeah, what a mistake it would be to obtain a tangible benefit instead of keeping your faith in funny money and maybe watching a number rise (before it falls dramatically).

Mistake, maybe. Biggest mistake, doubtful. Paying off a $250k house that I've lived in for less than 2 years and saving hundreds of thousands on PMI and general interest wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Especially considering the small amount I've put into buying Chainlink.

Honestly I have set cash out goals for myself since entering the crypto world back in '17. Each time my goals have been met, I'd rode it out to higher goals. I say this now but I'm sure when it hits $100, I won't cash out. Plus I have other crypto that's doing well so not like I'll be out of the game.

How long do you think it'll be before Chainlink hits the $100 mark? I wouldn't be surprised if it hit $50 at minimum by alt season this summer. Possibly $100 this time next year?

Dude, Chainlink is the internet of blockchains. Half the reason why Ethereum is pumping is thanks to DeFi which is literally powered by Chainlink and this other project Graph Protocol (GRT). I can't recommend GRT because I don't know much about it aside from the fact that it's a query searching tool DeFi teams use but I know Link and I can tell you that this project is more important than the Bitcoin. Every blockchain project that wants to have real world usability built upon the advantages of smart contracts is going to use Chainlink.

Chainlink is creating tools to significantly reduce gas fees via offchain reporting, they're creating tools to onboard sensitive data via Mixicles and DECO to allow for more types of data to be used like your flight records or personal identity in the blockchain world without it being viewed by everyone. And of course, there's staking coming hopeful this year where NEETs and grunts like me can finally join the network to be node operators where we uphold Link to vie for jobs and are penalized if we don't do our jobs properly and get paid for proper behavior.

Right now, it's just under $34, it's just a x3 to get to $100. I'd be miffed if we're not past $300 by the end of the year thanks to Off chain reporting.

And if you (a lurker reading this) are thinking about buying in, there will always be projects in the crypto world where you can invest in with $3000 to make a million in a couple years. With Chainlink, it's still apt to buy in as you can use Link as a stepping stone for capital for other projects (I personally am incapable of doing this due to how emotionally invested I am in the project, but it is possible). And Chainlink, again, is the internet of the blockchains. It will grow as the field is growing. Flipping the BTC is not an impossibility for the project at its full potential.

Yeah someone told us to get in on chain link when it was like $10, I got in around $12.

No, why invest in something that's completely worthless and has no real world applications?
