Teachers have robust immune systems. Particularly in K-2 beginning teachers are sick all of the time and then they never get sick.

What does it mean that In-Person Learning is working? It means no sign of illness in the kids or the teacher I am guessing. I welcome opinions on what it means though.

I think it is going to be an invisible super spreader. I think kids will stay healthy. Teachers will stay healthy and ordinary adults are doomed. You may be young and healthy but your immune system has not been prepared the way that a K-2 teachers' has been primed.

Kids are fuckin dirty and have no sense of cleanliness or care for cleanliness. This shit is gonna continue to spread. there is absolutely no reason to force in person learning right now and i have no idea why they are pushing it so hard.

Mostly to get the K-12 day care back open so people can get back to work. Big thing right now is all of these ghouls dragging teacher's unions through the mud because they don't think it's safe to open schools up.

And that's why this country is so backwards. They need to do more to help those people and businesses so they can continue working from home with no major drop off...This nations inability to sacrifice for a bit is our biggest downfall.

Actually, it is getting people back in the workplace as opposed to working from home.

To me who is not in the loop as to how big employers think I just have to create notions as to why this is the case. I think that employers want to observe employees and I am guessing that there are reasons. You know how sites and games let you use them for free in exchange for the data they get from observing you?

I guess that employers gather info from physically present employees that they can sell.

I guess middle management and supervisors need an excuse to exist.

Anecdotal of course but I worked in an office as a data analyst before being laid off due to covid, and our remote working situation was beneficial to our team. They laid off half the team and decided to keep the useless managers (that make double our salary) who couldn't produce a report to save their life. I still keep in touch with the other analysts and it's a fucking shit show now. Just one company but I don't think it has anything to do with data or info of employees.

I have another notion as to why employers want employees in the work place. I get that this sounds crazy but it is crazy to not want people working at home where they pay for space and utilities.

When you are in the workplace there are all kinds of interactions between people. The employer controls these interactions by who is hired and fired and who gets roomed together. Lots of administrator substitute giving favors for leadership. So X complains that Y does whatever and admin can handle it so both think that they owe him.

An administrator like this cannot exert leadership when employees work from home.
