I was modded for defending somebody's right to free speech and I was moderated because they said by doing so I was defending what the person said.
After making my case about how free speech as an ideal is super crucial for all positive social change, the mods overturned the moderation. I was really expecting them not to overturn it, for so many people unfortunately they think if you are defending somebody's right to speak you are defending what they are saying. i noticed on this site that mods are real quick to decide what you did on their own terms like that. the mod decided you MUST have been agreeing with whoever, and pulled the trigger on a whim

That's crazy, just today, instead of having a moderation overturned, I was offered a $5 coupon in Dave & Busters credit and a free large soda. Clearly I accepted.

That there are a bunch of people saying some shitty things out there, and it would just be nice and easier to just wish they didn't have the right or ability to say those things.
