because I just scroll past the 17 paragraphs of life story and get to the actual recipe. I've never read one or have been bothered by there being one as a result of this.

Yeah I mean I see there are backstories in a lot of recipe sites. It's to increase SEO so they get more clicks. That's all well and good, but it takes maybe 5 seconds to scroll past it, so i've never been bothered by it.

I like when food blogs have a "skip to recipe" button. It's rare, but it's nice.

Like Sunny, after I mastered the fundamentals of cooking I never needed a recipe again. I can replicate any dish to perfection just by seeing it, smelling it, or tasting it once. Yes, that's right. I said or, not and. I am true Master Chef unparalleled in skill or ability.

That's more the blogging style recipe sites. The big ones will just have a small description of what it is and maybe an additional sentence that says something like "my family loved this when my grandmother made it."
