Well I'm 55, so in a sense I guess you're right. Not a terrible Joker though, he fits the bill perfectly.

that is pretty cool.

how does gamefaqs posting mesh with being over 40? Like, do your kids have accounts too? Do you post because youre bored at work? To relax after work? To take a break from the wife?

Dear regular user from 2020 that's definately not someones alt account. I am not actually 55 but 33 do you not like the video I have provided?

Batman Begins was competing with Batman '89 to present a more serious take on the character. In the same way, Batman '89 was competing with Batman '66 to present a more serious take on the character.

People tend to forget that. A lot of young people chide Batman '89 for being slightly tongue-in-cheek and for not going for a sense of total realism. But, at the time, the most popular image of Batman was the campy 1966 series. This was the film that showed the general public that Batman could be serious.

I always point to the James Bond movie Licence to Kill as a reason why Batman '89 could not have been fully serious. They tried doing a straight 007 film that same year, without comedy, surrealism, or any tongue-in-cheek behavior and the film absolutely flopped. (Destroyed at the box office by Batman '89, no less.) Audiences of the 80s still saw superheroes as being primarily for children. The 1976 Superman and 1989 Batman movies were about showing that maybe, just maybe, superhero movies could be approachable for adults.

For sure, I like the Christopher Reeves superman more than the new ones but it does have its take of cheese in it. Same with 1989 Batman but it gets gradually more serious as the movies progress to different years. Still prefer Keatons batman to Bales but I like Bales Bruce more.
