This was nine months ago, and I still wonder. You know the dude has been doxxed, so cops had to surround his home back in May to prevent people from burning it down. They can't still all be camping out there, and surely some people are pretty pissed about it. Did the crowds seriously just give up, and that's why we haven't heard about it on the news ever since?

The protesters got bored and moved onto the next thing.

They will come back if he gets off though

He's going to walk. They all do. Gov Walz already had the Guard on standby for when the verdict is read.

That's their own fault. Apparently just the talk of reform and accountability was enough for a lot of them to quit. Decades of allowing police brutality and racism to run rampant allowed city officials to think "huh, this isn't working, let's try something different."

They have nobody to blame but themselves.

I live like a mile and a half from Derek Chauvin's home. I went to the protests at his home a few times. I have a bunch of video and pictures on my phone from the protests.

He didn't live in Minneapolis. He lived in a neighboring suburb.

His home has since been sold. I mean, his wife divorced him not long after he was arrested. Do you really think her or anyone else wanted to live there? I assume it was sold at a discount.

There was a post in our community FB page about it. I guess the new neighbors are very aware of the previous owner. Said they've had people try to harass them thinking Chauvin still lives there. Someone else made a post on their behalf asking people to spread the word that Chauvin doesn't live there anymore. I've driven past his home probably a hundred times at least since the George Floyd incident. The house very much looks like it has new owners.
