Depends how late. If it's just a few minutes I'll probably chastise them but I'm not gonna fire them.

If you're consistently late by half an hour or more I'll give you a couple of warnings but if it continues you're out

Then maybe work something out to adjust their work hours so they're not always late >_> Get meetings moved if necessary and feasible.

If I was the boss, and they were a good worker I'd just extend their work day by a half hour.

If they got stopped by the cops that day, they'd still be on time.

If they showed up early, they'd make more.

But if they were a crappy worker anyways, I wouldn't tolerate it.
