The South Eastern Freeway was plunged into chaos on Monday morning when the koala wandered out into the middle of the road Drivers slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting the koala and instead hit each other. Six cars were involved in the chain reaction smash but, fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt. It did, however, cause major delays for morning commuters. One of those stuck in the traffic jam was Nadia Tugwell, who spotted the culprit. She picked up the koala and put her in her car to avoid any further incidents. But when she looked back into her car, it had grabbed the steering wheel and was posing for a photo. Oh, it was ready to take off, saying come on Mummy where are we going? Im driving, she laughed.
