Tldr bad brewers are making beers loaded with unfermented fruit puree and the cans are exploding as a result

IPAs are fine if they're made in the west coast style

I mean IPAs are meant to showcase hops and really shouldn't be tasting like anything else

Which is what they shouldn't be. Lactose and fruit do not belong in IPAs. West coast style IPAs are the most pure form of IPAs

Ask for west coast style at your local shop. If they don't carry any flip them the deuces.

As a German, anything that's not water, hops, barley or yeast in bear is heresy

I'll take IPA's all day over the Imperial Stout and barrel aged trend from a few years back.

I have no problem with cans but I do have a problem with all the graphics on the cans to the point where I have to search for the brewer and type of beer on the back of the can. Sure the picture is nice but anymore unless I see what type of beer it is on the front of the label I dont buy it.

More options are better

i dont like milkshake ipas but Im not upset they exist for other people

exploding cans are never going to negatively impact your ability to make traditional beers that have been made for centuries

I'm not big on IPAs but I've had a few I really enjoyed. In particular one that was flavored with pine (both actual pine and piney hops). I'm also getting into juicy IPAs which are fruitier.

Wrong, breweries now are suffering if they don't cash in on hype shit. West coast IPAs have all but vanished as have RIS.
