I know this is considered one of the worst of the series, but Im playing the remaster* and Im thoroughly enjoying it. The hunting, the open areas, the naval combat, the side stuff, it all adds up to being a very fun experience imo

makes me real excited for playing black flag next tbqh

thoughts on AC3?

(*got about 5 hours into the original, realized I could buy the remaster for less than the price of the DLC and bought thatso I got at least a decent amount of time with the original)

It was a fun game, I thought the interface was a little goofy but otherwise it wasn't terrible.

Black Flag is fun but Rogue is better in many ways I think. They both serve as prequel content for 3, too.

The remaster definitely improves the free running tbqh

the main missions are the weaker point for sure. Lot of early 2010s walk-and-talks

I wasn't really feeling it.

Haytham is great, but Conner was a weak follow up to Ezio, IMO, and it didn't have the Truth Puzzles/Clusters, so I was really disappointed.

Sorry, bad opinion but I prefer the newer Assassin Creed games for the open world aspect. The older games were fine but I was not a fan of the gameplay. In fact, I remember going to play the original and when I got into the modern day from the beginning, I was fucking confused. Assassin's Creed II was better but meh..I got over it quickly. Too many times I jumped off a ledge for no reason...

It's a real bummer that there's no segment where you actually charge into a raging battle like shown in the trailer. The only actual battle segment is a lame mini game where you tell soldiers when to duck to avoid cannon fire lol.

I only started to really enjoy Odyssey after I learned of that one damage-for-health rune. Minmaxing a constant influx of slightly different gear is antithetical to the flow of stealth.

I'm glad that they made stealth an optional thing in Valhalla. I'm going to start playing it when they fix a bit of the bugs but I honestly would like an open world rpg game based on actual history with flair for fiction. Assassin's Creed is great for taking place during time periods I'm interested in but I'm never good at stealth.

Stealth in Valhalla is fun af though because you can just pick people off from ramparts with arrows and they will never spot you so you lmao they just keep staring at their dead friends like "that was weird!"

Between this one and the ones before it... I'd take ACIII over the Ezio stuff. I enjoyed Ezio alot more but I thought they killed it with the setting and time period.

I just wish they had fixed traveling in the snow >_>

Don't push me into doing stealth pls! Because that sounds fun xD

Yeah it got too easy in Odyssey with that "automatically hide the body" skill.

ngl I am actually more just running around slashing everyone up with my shit, though I do wish there were more kill animations. It's only fun watching your character spin and slash someone's legs off then spin again and slash their head off the first few times in a fight, after that you long for a little more.

I have to start Odyssey over again because I was playing it on my PC but since I got a PS5, I've been doing everything on that instead.
