I always used to tell myself that "I can always enjoy someone's work even if they've done something bad. I can separate the art from the artist".
But now things that I enjoyed, but the person that worked on them ends up coming out as an anti-masker; I can't fuck with that no more.

Why would you deny yourself over that? Its like whatever - the outside is there for you if you wanna risk it. I flew out my grandfather to get chemo therapy not available in his native country and have to be especially careful in fact, the guy wants to go out but I tell my family they should just keep him indoors.

If I was stern in continuing to be upset I wouldve never flown him out here because of people saying this and that - Im glad I did as his condition was found to be much worse than what he could show

you act like going out once means you're guaranteed to get covid and infect another 1000 people. I've been to restaurants 3 times too and never got it from there either

I've basically returned to life as normal. Cases are super low here. I get tested at work like every two weeks. Was weekly when cases were higher.

I'm not a bar guy so I don't go to those. But I do go out to eat at a restaurant about once a week

Not so much now. Covid set that city back and it might take a long time to recover. Kinda what happens when your entire economy revolves around tourism and the hospitality industry, while not being able to have hardly any fans for saints games and with mardi gras cancelled, the biggest revenue generators for said industries in any given year

They bounced back after Katrina, they'll bounce back again but you're not missing out on anything at this moment.
