is a good game!

I wish it was a bit longer and some of the mission mode levels feel like they're specifically designed for co-op play, but man I didn't realise how much I missed this series. The new characters were great (especially Brittany) and I'm glad there was no hard time limit like the first game, though I do wish they'd brought back the dungeon crawling bits from 2. The new pikmin were great too, I like how in each game the new ones get more elaborate. The rocks kinda feel OP, they're largely better than the purples from 2 and despite Red being named as the best fighters most enemies are very vulnerable to a bonk on the head. Loved how they introduced the Winged ones, you enter an area called Twilight River filled with water and see an Onion and I just assumed it'd be Blues, that was a nice surprise.

Not sure how much was added to Deluxe but it was all good. So many great references to the first two as well (the final boss being related to the Waterwraith was perfect), and I love all the detail they put in the Piklopedia. Perhaps my fav bonus thing was the out of nowhere reintroduction of Purple and White into Mission Mode.

I need more Pikmin. Give me Pikmin 4, Miyamoto.
