Just a one off demo. I used One Piece because it was available, and I need something to practice on for when I get better tracks together

Ahh, Time to get a Moog synthesizer. ((Not cheap))

But you are headed in the right direction for sure.

I have some pretty nice plugins but it takes time to dig through and unearth them all. I got loungelizard for wurlitzer stuff, and blue3 for some organ. The stock plugins are actually pretty solid with Cubase as well. I had the digital minimoog but it's been giving my problems after the PC upgrade...

Ahh, I have none of that shit...expect a Theremin and a serviceable little amp.
Pretty much everything else is acoustic. Except I had keyboards...but I didn't pick those up without having learned stuff on a Piano, and Schoenhut.

I am actually really interested in finding a kinda cool Organ/Keyboard that would be friendly to uploading online.

Hmm all the really friendly stuff is gonna be midi based. My pops has been a professional keyboard player since his teens so I've run the gamut with fancy keyboards. In the end he said unless you can get the real vintage B3's, wurli's, rhodes, clavs, the plug ins are better than the next best thing and easier to use if you have the output interface. My brother picked up a wurli half a decade back, and I can say without reservation that's still the way to do it, to have the analog instrument. But then the tines started detuning so we'll have to open it up and start tuning them again.

Well in this case I particularly want a Keyboard with some sort of digital out, just so I can easly share it online or w/e. Though it would also be cool to have some effects..etc.

I mean I do still have two keyboards, the Schoenhut and an upright Piano.
I really did think I wanted a Moog, but I realized they are limited on Polyphony, so that wouldn't suit me.
Though it would be a blast to play with.

As there are tines in you Wurlitzer?

Yeah it uses a hammer to hit little tines inside. A lot of the magic is in the design of the sound output.

There are some really nice yamahas that do what you're talking about, but they're probably expensive. A lot of the really nice uprights at Amro I looked at had digital outs. Cheapest would be to get a really good piano plug-in like truepiano and a little midi keyboard, and just leave it plugged into a computer.

Thanks man that means a lot, sort of in a rut right now and trying to dig myself out creatively lol

Hmm well we chatted about the Boston guy the other night but for a top 5... I legit think Chris Stapleton is one of the best singers, certainly alive. Freddie Mercury is real high up there for me, but coming from Memphis I got to give it up to Stax and the soul singers. Went through a big Sam Cooke phase not long ago.

Gotta love Stevie Wonder, love Karen Carpenter. I like the weird cats like Leon Russell a lot too, David Bowie.

Jim Morrison is up there; originality wins a lot of points with me, Stevie Nicks is up there I'm not very skilled by traditional metrics like holding a note with perfect vibrato so I appreciate singers like that, like Otis Redding. Not trying to squash out women, but as a dude I tend to analyze male voices more.

If I had to pick one voice gun to my head, I'd probably say Ella Fitzgerald. Weird pick I know, but the voice speaks to me. It's like velvet

First I'm still intrigued with that Wurli. I gotta look into that.

But also, So are you saying there a basic midi keyboard that you can tweek with a program?
That's interesting. Maybe not the best way, but I'd assume less expensive.

I'm pretty sure TruePianos is technically free since they don't care if people pirate it and has some of the best piano sounds available. Keyboards are always expensive, but a cheap midi one is only about 100$ and there are so many piano plugins that they're not too expensive either. If you're playing classical or jazz you're definitely going to want one with weighted keys, but those usually have good piano sounds already loaded in. I have a Kawaii I use when I'm writing and want the real feel but I'm an amateur piano player anyways

That's a lounge lizard wurlitzer plug in I have, but it also emulates the other greats like Rhodes/Clavs.

I used shotcut for this; I screencapped using OBS studio. Shotcut is open source, free, and super easy to use.
