I'm willing to pony up some dough as well, but I won't say no to free

Mostly be using it for short promos and stuff

I have no idea tbh but id imagine there's a ton of youtube vids on video editing software and you could also get a chance to see them in action and decide what looks best to you.

No clue, I know Reaper the DAW has stuff to edit video

There's another one too.. forget what - would be surprised if Logic doesn't have type-o support. It might be SONAR that I'm thinking of >_>

I don't think they have the standard meta for what video editing software has though.. it'll let you line up rhythm to video though I'd think (never tried it myself)

I use Cubase so this is good info, probably smarter to line up with the video with my DAW, thanks for the tip

LosslessCut 3.32.0 is quite good and it's free.

https://www.videohelp.com/software/LosslessCut

It will only cut the beginning of a video at key frames, which sometimes may be spaced apart by as much as 5 seconds.

It will properly cut the end of a video at any frame of your choice.

It will create the edited video in just a few short seconds.

Any other software and you will most likely have to transcode the entire project which takes a good chunk of time to do and it's not easy for the new video to be perfectly lossless from the original.
