A total of 28 acts take part in Melodifestivalen 2021. They are spread across 4 heats with 7 acts in each.

2 acts from each heat goes directly to the Final while 2 acts goes to the Second Chance round. So 3 acts are eliminated each week.

4 of the 8 acts in the Second Chance advance to the Final making it 12 finalists.

The heats and the SC are 100% public vote while the Final has both public and jury points.

The show starts at 20:00 on Saturday evening (14:00 on the US East coast).

I like Kadiatou but not the song I see doing well at Eurovision unfortunately.
Lillasyster is definitely something I would have listened to as a teen but don't see it doing well either, mostly due to the screaming it goes into (I'm a fan, but don't see majority of people being so)
I really like Jessica
Paul very quickly grew on me
Arvingarna definitely seems like that corny/amusing song that could do well.
Nathalie is my favourite I think.
Danny's was... eh, just didn't capture my interest much unfortunately.

Dannys song is such a disappointment imo. He is a very famous artist here in Sweden and has released tons of great songs but this one is not my vibe. He was asked to host one of the heats but instead decided to compete (hence @FF_Redux comment that he should have hosted instead).

Jessica always deliver though and Im a big fan of Paul Rey since before - check him out on Spotify! Nathalie and Kadiatou both competed in Idol 2018. Kadiatous song feels more like a radio and gym hit Yeah. Nathalies ballad is pure beauty tho.

I almost predicted the entire results but I disagree hard anyway.



Jessica got the most Eurovision friendly song and she got eliminated.

Neither Danny nor Arvingarna will work in Rotterdam. Thankfully there are 21 songs left. Right now I predict the winner will be Dotter (heat 2), The Mamas (heat 4) or Eric Saade (heat 4).
