Not to the point of wanting to cry but feeling exhausted physically and mentally has happened to me yes. Perhaps a nap is in order.

Going without sleep for too long does tend to result in reductions in my abilities, physically, mentally, and emotionally. While getting excessively tired doesn't tend to lead to emotional distress by itself, if something's already troubling me, while I'd normally keep it to inside, getting tired enough can result in a reduction in that ability, allowing it to rise to the surface.

if you can cry then you're not that tired. When I'm extremely tired, that means i'm too tired to cry

This whole COVID thing has been hard, even on some introverts. Yesterday I was thinking that I just wanted to get out of this house and go somewhere. Just get out for awhile. I want to go to the park without having to wear a mask.

I got up before 1 this morning, started work at 2 am, and won't be done until probably 5 tonight. It's going to be a day.

I thought my 10-11 hour shifts daily were long but I think I'm gonna cry for you instead

Its just snow removal so its not a normal thing to have to pull this but I just got lucky and was on call the week we got hit pretty decently so I got to stay on at the end of the shift.

You get any breaks in between those two shifts? Thats crazy

My tear ducts broke a while back. When grandpa died last May I could only laugh a stressful laugh.

Idk why I cant cry but Im 100% sure this cant be healthy.

Yeah there are two scheduled half hour breaks in our normal 8 hour day. After that we just kind of get to take a short breaks when we need to.

No worries about being ignorant man, I never gave much thought to what the snow plow guys did when it was warm before I started working here. Most places that do snow work are landscapers in the growing season and thats exactly what we do. Just remove the plows and salters from our trucks, tractors, loaders, and even a few mowers and start using them to landscaping.
